History
The company was founded in 1988 focusing mainly in the commercial sector. It grew consistently until 1998 when the private owners perceived an opening in the market for an innovative and efficient supplier. The company then changed the strategy and entered the supply only market by offering a revolutionary internally glazed product (the Nexus Range), 5 day delivery and next day remakes combined with competitive pricing and efficient customer service.
Due to the rapid and sustained success, in 2002 the company was acquired by Masco, one of the largest suppliers of home improvement products and services in the world. Today Cambrian is also part of the Masco UK Window group, the largest supplier of PVCu products in the UK.
Products
We manufacture the Duraflex system in both 65 and 70mm and pride ourselves for supplying high quality and innovative products. We understand and listen to our customers needs and strive to deliver the full order, on time, every time.
We offer an extensive range of products which is enhanced by many value added items such as vertical sliders, composite doors and Energy Rated products. All products combine very attractive looks with high quality security locking and sculptured/bevelled profiles in a wide choice of finishes/colours and handles.
We comply with ISO 9001 Business/Quality Management System, focusing on costumer requirements and continually improving our systems and processes to ensure that you can benefit from our efficiencies and value added initiatives.
Service
We understand the importance of “right first time” deliveries; in full and on the requested date. This is an integral part of the Cambrian’s way and of our Customer Charter
In order to achieve this we make ordering as easy and simple as possible, either by fax or electronically. Order acknowledgements and glass sizes are sent back to all customers within 24 hours, fully verified. All standard products are delivered within 5 working days, using our own modern fleet and drivers, always on the dates agreed previously with you.
We also provide a dedicated After Sales department who will be able to assist you ensuring your issues are resolved quickly and satisfactorily. To assist with it, we offer a 24 hour remake service.
We also offer a quotation service either electronically, where you can use our customized software to produce instantaneous and accurate quotes on the fly, or by fax within 24 hours.
Marketing Support
We offer an industry leading marketing material that is guaranteed to grow your sales.
Our Area Sales Managers will understand your requirements and recommend the best package. This may include showroom support and design, personalized retail and conservatory brochures, promotional material, lead generation, or samples.
We also offer the Window Designer software that can be customized to suit your needs, enabling you to quote on the fly, place orders electronically based on the original quotation and have the glass sizes instantaneously, as well as ensuring the selling prices are always accurate.
Technical Support
Cambrian has built an extensive knowledge pool over the past 21 years and will be able to assist you with all queries you may have. In addition to that we also work very closely with Duraflex , a sister company also part of the Masco UK Windows Group, to ensure that you are updated with the latest products, bulletins, building regulations and accreditations.
We offer in house training and technical support to the Window Designer software.
If required we can supply one of our service engineers to assist you with any problem or training issues you might have.
Energy Efficiency Products and environment
Cambrian, along with its system supplier Duraflex are at the forefront of material efficiency and environmental credentials. All product is manufactured from calcium organic material including foiled products which also use water based primer. All fabrication off-cuts are collected and recycled into other building products along with the billing of all other materials including office waste such as paper, cartridges etc.
The PVC window industry also supports the recycling of post consumer waste and has imitative’s in place to support these with Recovinyl. Cambrian, along with other Masco companies support and encourage this through its customer base.
We have also been one of the first companies to launch energy rated products, with the Duragreen range. In conjunction with the other Masco companies, which include Techniglass, we are at the forefront of the development of more efficient products that will always give our customers an advantage in the market place, which is supported with business to business and consumer literature.
Factory
We are very proud of our factory, purposely built in 2005 following the rapid expansion in previous years. With 100,000 sq ft it has capacity to produce 10,000 frames per week.
The premises are fully equipped with state of the art machinery to ensure all products are consistently manufactured to our high quality standards.
Employing over 150 people it is the most efficient plant in the UK and has one of the lowest accidents rate in the industry.
